Tomorrow is Earth Day and Jodi Helmer, author of “The Green Year,” is back with an insightful interview and to give away one of her books.
She also shares two tips with us that weren’t included in the book.
I’ve featured “The Green Year” here before. I’ve had the book since it was published in 2008 and still routinely look through it to get more tips on small things we can do at Our Little House.
Enjoy the interview and make sure to leave a comment at the end of this post by noon CST, on Monday April 25 to register to win a copy of the book. You also need to leave your email address so I may contact you if you win. I will also announce the winner on Tuesday’s post.
Happy Earth Day!
Mary B., you’re the winner of the book drawing for “Bag Green Guilt”! Email me by Friday at firstname.lastname@example.org with your complete name and snail mail address to claim your book!
And if you all missed winning a copy of Jodi Helmer’s “The Green Year” here last year, you have a second chance to do so over at Little House on the Southern Prairie, or you can choose another of Jodi’s wonderfully green books!
On to today’s post:
So maybe the New Year isn’t good for resolutions, but I did have some goals to get the house a little more organized and was able to accomplish something in that regard this week.
I finally got the Christmas décor put away on January 1 (I know, tomorrow for Boxing Day turned into tomorrow and then tomorrow and then tomorrow….I blame the books) and I was still feeling a little closed in.
I hope all of my American readers didn’t eat too much yesterday and that you had a very Happy Thanksgiving with your loved ones.
I promised a cool giveaway this week and waited until Black Friday so you would be in the mood for a real bargain. For me, nothing would put me in a better mood than winning a new, signed copy of a book!
