We’ve had a rollercoaster of a ride with the weather at Our Little House since Saturday, when it was a glorious 70+ degrees.
I spent much of the day sitting on the deck in the warm sun getting caught up on my reading.
Sunday, it turned cooler, but still wasn’t a bad day. We decided to finally make the trip to Springfield to get Dale’s glasses, so our trusted dog sitter, Correna, came and watched the Fabulous Five while we headed north.
How long has it been since you’ve had an Orange Julius? That was our big surprise, finding a place that sold them in the mall in the big city. The taste instantly transported me back to the days when I worked in the J.C. Penney credit office in Indian Springs, a long gone mall in Kansas City.
Yesterday was the beginning of the big dip. I spent it with the neighbor running errands and getting ready for this monster storm, which I’m still hoping we’ll avoid here. So far, we’ve gotten a ton of rain and now we’re getting sleet. The huge snowfall is predicted well to the north and if we avoid most of the ice, we’ll be good.
In the meantime, hop on over to Frugal Kiwi and register to win one of her fabulous felted soap creations. The blog is also up for the Best Green Home Blog for Apartment Therapy. I hope all of you in the path of this storm are staying safe and warm. Share your storm and/or Orange Julius stories with us in the comments.
