Over or Under?
There are a lot of things to consider when moving to a little house. How much stuff can you live without, can you stand being that close to your significant other or family all of the time, can you learn to share the remote, and of course, can you live with just one bathroom.
At our house in the city, we had our own bathrooms. The main bathroom upstairs was mine; the smaller bathroom downstairs was my hubby’s.
I know he is bothered by the eternal question: Should the roll go over or under? He has his definite thoughts on the subject, although for the life of me, I can’t remember which he prefers, and you know why?
Because my brain just doesn’t care.
When the toilet paper runs out, I just slap another roll on, unlike my husband who will pull one out of the cabinet, but not put it on the holder, and then sometimes complain when I don’t put it on “right.”
I might be wrong, but I’m thinking this is another Men are from Mars scenario.
On Facebook recently, one of my male friends posted the question: Over or under? A lot of his man friends answered, but I think I was the only woman, and I wrote: Why is it that men even care?
When I’m taking a break and find the need to replace the toilet paper, I have so many other things I’m thinking about that I don’t care which way the new roll gets placed, and don’t see where it makes any difference in how it comes off.
Don’t get me wrong, this is not a big issue in our house, I think after 23 years of marriage my husband has about given up trying to convince me that it even matters, but it comes up every once in awhile, especially now that we have a shared bathroom.
So, my friends, I will leave you with the question of the ages, over or under? Does it matter, ladies? And for you guys, does it matter and why?
I would really love to know, because this guy in the picture sure isn’t talking.
If you have cats put it under. This way when they play "spin the roll" it doesn't unravel all over the floor.

And my husband does the same thing– get out the new roll, but generally never switch it out with the empty roll.
Why is that?? You're sitting right there, there's not much to do… why not just change the thing?

I think the changing of the TP roll is right up there with not listening.
Luckily, I've never had this discussion with my hubby. As long as the TP is in place, we are good to go.

I, too, find it funny that this seems to be a guy thing. I'm not that worried about it, though when I do have the time to consider it–I slip it on the roll so the paper pulls down from the front. So I guess I prefer it over as well…when I think about it.
So, is that bear your TP holder. Is is a floor stand kind of thing? Cute. Very cabinesque.

Yes, that's our TP holder. It is a floor stand and my mom bought that for us when we built the little house. The whole theme in the house is log cabin type stuff and bears.
