Sounds like you had a great time. I work at home and am pretty anti-social by nature, so I don't ever really long to reconnect with the outside world. I do like to walk through the bookstore and could spend hours there on any day!

I love bookstores, too, and feel so depressed that the independent bookstores are closing one after the other. I'm glad you were able to visit your old favorites when you went to the city, and that they were still there.

The last six months have found me busy with a lot of projects at home and I've fallen away from the writing community– which I regret and intend to remedy. K.C. does indeed have a great group of writers at all levels of success and skill. I have found most to be supportive, helpful and generous in extending a hand to novices and beginners who are struggling to get that first big article or essay or poem published. I am currently trying to find a writer's group that is medium sized– not too big, not too small, to get involved in. I find I need that kind of contact and feedback to keep motivated and productive.
