I know. I would have more if we could afford them. Probably good that we can't, I might become one of those hoarders!

Horrible, horrible to contemplate. We're limited to 2 dogs in our town, otherwise I would fill my house up with poor babies like these. I don't understand how anyone can treat a living creature like this and I think it says a lot about how they think and feel.

Yep, that's our Sade Sue! She is such a doll. Everyone wants to take her home when they meet her. Nope, she's all ours! :)

Kerri,
I'm with you on everything you wrote. I just can't comprehend cruelty to animals.
A side note: that's the first time I've ever seen a picture of your pittie. (Sadie, right?) She is just gorgeous! I'm so glad she has ended up fitting into your family so well.

What is that quote? That a character of a nation can be measured by how it treats its' animals.

This type of story just makes me sick to my stomach. It is bad enough when people are too irresponsible or lazy to get their animals spayed and neutered, but outright abuse is something I just cannot comprehend. Thank you for bringing attention to the problem of unwanted and abused animals. It is tragic and shameful that there is so much suffering inflicted on those least able to defend themselves.

Ah, Mary, our love of special little Doxie's is one of the things we have in common. Baby Girl is now with my Hershey, and all of the rest of our babies, waiting at the Rainbow Bridge.

Kerri, such sad stories. Our little dachshund, Baby Girl, came to us from an unwanted home. She was my best friend who made me laugh when I was sad, and was concerned about me when I have been ill. At nineteen she went on a long
jouney to heaven. I miss her.
