I don't think I could live someplace where there isn't a change of season. However, my ultimate dream is to also have a little house on the beach where we can go in the winter.

The way the fall is going, I'm sure you'll see a photo of snow, but I'm hoping it isn't real soon! We usually don't get snow here until January. My dad always said, "Arkansas doesn't get snow, it get ice," and he was right last year. I hope we don't see the ice.

It's funny as we met people about a month ago who said what they liked about being here (as opposed to their native Seattle), is that it will rain and then clear up, not hanging gloom for days on end. Since that time, I think we've had 2 sunny days here. Dale and I joke that it's rained ever since we moved here — we had record flooding here last year.
I bet you're glad for it in CA, though, where it has been so dry and sparking fires.

Thanks for the plug. We've already had much snow and cold here in CO, but today is somewhat warm and quite sunny. We're thinking of taking the day "off."

Your weather is a little different than we have here in California. We had almost two days of solid rain but today it has cleared up and it will be dry for a couple of days before the next rain. I'm looking forward to walking the dog today and with the cooler nights maybe getting a fire going in the fireplace tonight.
